nkdbeautynbeast @ 10:08 pm: George Webbs on 75th and Layton
There's a new waitress at this store. I went in for a coffee, and I realized I didn't have any money, so her boyfriend payed for my coffee, I appreciated that. But then the waitress started fighting with her boyfriend, which is fine and all, I don't care, but it really shouldn't be happening out on the floor. So this guy across the counter smiles at me while they're fighting and I smile back. The waitress starts yelling, "I don't know why you keep f*cking smiling at him, this is none of your damned business...." Now, I appreciate her boyfriend picking up my bill for me, and I feel bad that they're fighting and all that, but I don't feel bad enough about it to not report her to a manager, because, even though I'm a regular, I am a customer too, and I feel I should be treated with respect when I am patronizing their restaurant. Was I wrong? I don't really care, because as far as I'm concerned, they just lost a regular who tips pretty well.

dragonsfamiliar @ 04:34 pm: This is somthing that needs to be said, seeing that I am a GW employee.
Please, Please...NEVER walk out on a bill....The server and cook on duty are then required to pay it..out of their tips.

This has happened twice to me already.

maze_uu @ 03:38 pm: whenever me and my friends go to george webbs we always flip over a placemat and one of us starts drawing. Then we pass it to the next one and continue drawing until we have an amazing picture or until we need to leave. Then one of us gets to keep it. I think we should make an art show of all our placemats and call it "the G-webb sketch pad."

nkdbeautynbeast @ 05:22 pm: Hey everyone. Do any of you tend to hang out at the Webbs on 76th and Rawson? I work there. (usually 1st shift on Saturdays and Sundays) My sister works there too. :) The Webbs on Rawson is the one where almost everyone who works there has at least one relative also working there.
Anyways...what is it that draws you to Webbs? There just something about Webbs and I can't quite put my finger on it. Everyone else I talk to can quite figure it out either....

conjunction @ 02:21 am: So I was deprived of Webbs for a few months, what with not having the time or the money. Mind you, for a solid two years, I was there, at least four nights a week doing homework, coffee with friends, all the third shift waitresses knew my name; I'd walk in there and my coffee would be on the table before I even got to my booth, the one with my name carved into it.

Well, I went to the one on Mooreland and National in New Berlin on Monday night, had a coffee, and wham! gross! I can't believe I drank that for so long and had no idea how bad it was.

I think if Webb's had Superior brand coffee, like Denny's, Johnny V's Classic Cafe on 84th St, The Pallaz on highway and many other places I can't think of at the moment, I'd be apt to go there like the good old days.

Oh yea, and I found my old scribblebook from the countless nights at webbs, and tucked inside, was half a placemat, containing webbs coupons for march 2004. are they worth money? to you?
