nkdbeautynbeast @ 05:22 pm: Hey everyone. Do any of you tend to hang out at the Webbs on 76th and Rawson? I work there. (usually 1st shift on Saturdays and Sundays) My sister works there too. :) The Webbs on Rawson is the one where almost everyone who works there has at least one relative also working there.
Anyways...what is it that draws you to Webbs? There just something about Webbs and I can't quite put my finger on it. Everyone else I talk to can quite figure it out either....

its the calming effect in sitting on a smokey corner being able to silently watch other people in thier exsistence, casually making yourself part of that world yet still exsisting in your own little corner.

plus i like the coffee and food and the fact i can sit there all ngiht driing jsut coffee and no one harasses me to go home...

well that and many memories of many ngihts with friends, laughter, and hell, even relationships I've started over webbs...

its a place where the night owls of the world, the freeks, the geeks, and the outcasts can siltnely exist in the nighttime where they are not judged or harassed, simply greeted with a warm welcome and even warmer coffee.

or at least thats how it is for me...

One of the regulars, told me once, that it was the fact that you could come in, almost everyone knew your name (like Cheers!) and you could give the waitresses sh*t and they would give you sh*t right back. I truly enjoy sitting at the counter. If the seats are all taken at the counter, people begin to pull up chairs to the counter to sit. There's just something about those counters. My principal loves to take her kids there because she can sit them at the counter and they can watch the cooks in the kitchen, it keeps them occupied. Her daughter loves it because its the only place she can eat pancakes and Neon Soup(chicken flavored noodle) for breakfast. No other restuarant can compare to the hashbrowns at Webbs. Its so much more than the food. Its the people. Its the atmosphere.
